RE: Dermatology – Front Desk

Dear Hiring Manager,

This is in response to your ad for a medical front office assistant. A quick glance at my resume and you may be thinking ‘this is not a good candidate’. But please do not be discouraged yet.

I have been interested in dermatology for quite some time. It stemmed from my own struggle with skincare and skin health. As a student at this point in my life, I am at a crossroads between pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science to move towards Med School or pursuing an RN degree. This front desk position would be a great start to gain insight and learn.

Currently one of five in a customer service team with a call volume up to 300 a day, there is constant juggling between phones, orders, emails, and other tasks. Aside from weekly goals and monthly quotas, serving customers is most important. I’ve learned to better understand, serve, listen and improve in people relations.

I hope for the chance to learn more about the science of dermatology while continuing to grow in my relationships with other people.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Amanda Sullivan

May 9, 2008

Alex Sullivan
Lexington Technologies
3421 Hartsville Road
Atlanta, GA 30291

Dear Alex,

It is with unease in my-self and mind that I write this letter of resignation. While I believe that I am leaving for good reasons, I am sorry to leave so soon. My last date will be May 23rd.

I never thought it would be this sudden. But when handed the opportunity to work in web design, which you know is a big dream of mine, it was hard to refuse.

Thank you for having me here at Lexington Technologies. It has been an educational & rewarding experience. I wish Lexington Technologies the best in future successes.

Sincerely,

Michael Smith
